Goal Conversion Tracking

General information

Goals allow you to estimate value of your site's visitors. A goal is a file that is to be requested by visitors. It may be a sign-up script, file to be downloaded, etc.

When a goal is requested, conversion occurs. Conversions are counted once per visitor. The program shows conversion rates as well as number of conversions, so you can determine what search phrases/referrers bring more valuable visitors.

Goal list

You can specify goals in Profile Properties > Tracking > Track paid search and goals > Goals:

Goal properties

You need to enter goal name and file name for the goal.

File name can be specified with or without slash at the beginning. E.g. http://www.domain.com/files/Setup.exe can be entered as /files/Setup.exe or as files/Setup.exe
